Valves and repair kits

Valves are used to shut off or control the flow of liquids and gases. They can be used to precisely regulate the speed of movement of the medium in the pipeline and safely isolate it from the environment.

A separate type of equipment is safety valves, which, on the contrary, open when there is excessive pressure and allow large volumes of medium to pass through in order to quickly compensate for dangerous conditions, for example, in tanks or systems with increased pressure.

The closing part of the valve moves parallel to the direction of flow. The flow is shut off by pressing the sealing surface of the shut-off element against the opening of the corresponding shape — the valve seat. Shut-off elements can be plates, cones, balls or needles.

Different types of valves differ in design, pressure loss level, drive type, functional purpose and shape of the shut-off element.
