This year, IFFA managed to set new visitor records and clearly confirmed its place as the global meeting place for the industry, with 70% of attendees coming from abroad.
The show featured 120,000 sqm of exhibition space in five different halls. More than 67,000 people joined the event, bustling through these five halls over the six-day show, trying to learn about the latest and greatest in meat industry technology. This included innovations in automation and robotics, new slicing, dicing and portioning technologies and packaging solutions to meet the needs of any meat processor. Slaughtering equipment, measuring and weighing machines, as well as transport and storage systems were highlighted in booth after booth, not to mention new innovations in meat ingredients, including spices, clean-label additives and shelf-life extending ingredients. A number of food safety companies were also present, presenting sanitation equipment, hygiene solutions and testing technologies.
